Ifi and the Gelato World Cup

fi has been side by side with the Gelato World Cup, that is at its ninth edition, for quite a while.
The biennial event involves professionals from gelato, pastry, chocolate and ice sculpture business coming from all over the world, offering them a unique opportunity for professional growth and inspiration.
The event has been inaugurated last Sigep (18 / 22.01.2020) in the presence of the Italian Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism: Dario Franceschini. Ifi was present as well with its technologies, Milia gelato display case and Gelato CoolBox.
Before the start of the important contest all chefs of the competing countries visited Ifi headquarters to discover how technological solutions that preserve and display their creations are developed.
Among the 11 competing national teams: Argentina, Colombia, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Singapore and Spain, the Italian national team triumphed, winning the title of 2020 Gelato World Champion, with the team composed by: Eugenio Morrone, Ciro Chiummo, Giuseppe Tonon, Massimi Carnio and Marco Martinelli. On the podium, respectively, silver and bronze medals: Japan and Argentina.
