Chicago Millennium Park, 24th - 25th September 2016

Chicago Gourmet makes room for artisan gelato this year.

Among the first Food & Wine culinary event of the United States, Chicago Gourmet will host the Gelato World Tour Illinois Challenge: 7 Master gelato Chefs selected within the Illinois State will compete to reach the first place. The winner flavor, who will reach the world Grand Finale (Rimini September 2017), will be determined by the public vote and by the evaluations of a technical jury of top Chefs: John Coletta, Executive Chef and Co-Founder of Quartino Ristorante & Wine Bar, Mary Nolan, Bon Appétit's chef de cuisine and Mario Rizzotti, acclaimed television personality and Italian culinary expert, best known as a judge of “Iron Chef America.”

As Main partner of the event since its first edition, IFI and its gelato display cases have made the stage for the best competing Master gelato makers. In the Tasting Pavillion 10 of Chicago Gourmet, Cloud gelato display cabinet exalted the Chef’s flavors and Gelato CoolBox made it possible to serve them in the park -free from electricity or battery worries- calling long lines of audience.
