Gelato Day 2023

Since 2013, March 24th has been celebrated as the European Artisanal Gelato Day. Strongly desired by Artglace and Longarone Fiere, it is the only 'Day' that the European Parliament has so far dedicated to a foodstuff. It’s Gelato Day!

At Ifi we are proud to have contributed to the birth of this important day, by actively participating in initiatives at the European Parliament headquarters in Strasbourg and Brussels in 2011 and 2012. We fully recognise ourselves in a celebration that honors passion, research and authenticity to give moments of joyful goodness.

This year marks 11th edition of the European Artisanal Gelato Day: an occasion to pay homage to one of the most beloved products worldwide and promote artisanal knowledge and the development of the gastronomic tradition in the industry.

From the north to the south of Italy and all over Europe, with cones and cups of Apfelstrudel flavor - the Taste of the Year chosen by Austria -, artisanal gelato will therefore be the one and only true protagonist with events, meetings and initiatives for gourmands of all ages.
