Massimo Curzi

Massimo Curzi


Born in Pavia in 1966.

Study architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan.

He studied with Michael Alder during a summer seminar and thanks to this meeting he changed his point of view on architecture.

He graduated in 1993 with Maurizio Vogliazzo of which he became assistant together with Decio Guardigli and Antonio Donini.

In 1994 he opened his own professional studio in Pavia.

In 1995 he met the genius of A G Fronzoni of which he became a student, collaborator, assistant and friend.

From 1998 he became contract professor at the Politecnico di Milano.

In 2000 he became assistant to Peter Zumthor with whom he taught for two years at the Mendrisio Academy.

From 2001 to 2016 he was the owner of an Architectural Design Laboratory at the first year at the Milan Polytechnic Campus Leonardo, working with Bruno Vaerini and Alberto Garutti.

He worked on the new Domus of Nicola Di Battista from the September 2013 to December 2017 issue.

Since February 2019 he is part of the editorial staff of the Casabella magazine directed by Francesco Dal Co.

He lives in Milan. He works in Pavia and Milan.
